Joint ventures can only REALLY work long term if there is a way to connect the "shopper" to the referrer to the business. And this system has to be automated. I can see the value of getting paid for my referrals BUT...and this is a BIG BUT..I for one am not interested in calling up businesses that I have referred people to in order to determine if that person bought something. I would be chasing the leads all day and I have other things to do...smile
True "joint venture" heaven would be if I could refer a person to a business once and "WHEN" the person decides to shop..the referral is automatically linked back to me. Well that "heaven" works with online businesses through affiliate links...can it work with regular bricks and mortar businesses?
