Creative Venture – Top Ways to think outside the box in your joint venture dealings

A mix of things discovers and creates new things. Joint venture is one creative process of mixing things. When the Lomographic Society International and Colette collaborated, they discovered an interesting flick to publish a unique visual-literary book.

The Lomographic Society International is a group of new class photographers, using lomo cameras from Russia, or lomographers. Lomo cameras are analogs that produce rustic, color-vivid, fresh, twisted and vibrant photos. Colette, on other hand, is a leading Paris-based boutique of urban style, art and culture.
Together, they shared their different talents and brainstormed to come up with the unique book and collaborative project, the Dianalogues No. 1—through a woman’s lens.
The book is collection of literatures and lomographs. What is unique in this collaborative book project is the exclusive female perspective in writing the stories and taking the photo about life. What’s more, photos are taken using the Diana+ camera.

The project explores the diverse feminine views and voices, in relation with Diana’s feminine name and Colette’s dominant female market. In their joint venture agreement, Colette invited 12 female friends around the globe to contribute stories in the book while Lomographic Society contributes Diana+ lomographs.
The book, however, is half-done by two organizations. The other half is delegated to interested lomographers and storytellers for contest. Great, right?
Contributors shall submit 10 images, shot with the Diana+ or Diana F+ camera and 200 maximum words of story. Juries shall reward a limited Diana F+ Colette camera, branded with the winner’s name.

The project developed one integrated marketing online to promote their collaborative project. The integrated marketing campaign also linked visitors to the respective websites of the collaborators. While at each respective website, the two organizations provide links of their partner’s web homes.

The joint venture was eventually an integrated marketing campaign of the new limited Diana F+, Colette apparels and especially the Dianalogues No. 1.
