"That's life and you're not running an employment agency"
That's what I was told today...advised to reflect upon.
What's happening? Well today..a very difficult decision ..made a few days ago ..is being executed..bad word..being acted upon.
And that decision has to do with a person and their life. A good person..a very good person...but someone who is not right for our team anymore.
Without going into all the details..YES...efforts were made to prevent this decision being made but ultimately...for the best interests of our company..the decision and the action were made..done...final.
And although I feel bad..very bad about having to make the decision...it was the right thing to do.
Right for our company..most important..but also right for this person.
And what I continue to learn is that only when you can separate the emotions from the logic can you truly be a leader for your company. Make the tough decisions.
Successful entrepreneurs know this because they experience it. Experience the feelings with the logic but then knowing the logic is what is most important.
And yes..it still hurts.
