How Long Will You Live?

Good question isn't it. I am thinking of this question today because a good friend of a very great friend of mine died yesterday. The person who died was in her forties and she died of all things...a mosquito bite....in the Virgin Islands. The mosquito was carrying a disease...the hospitals in the Virgin Islands could not deal with it...sad ending.

It got me thinking of a story about a professor in sociology who once asked his students...for an assignment...that if they knew today they were going to die in 6 months...what would they do with their time left. A week later the assignments came back and the answers were spectacular. Climb Mt Kilimanjaro, visit Tibet, volunteer at a Childrens Hospital, skydive, meet their favorite actor, business person or hero, spend more time with friends and family, learn to play guitar...and the list went on. The professor then said to the students..."Okay..in this exercise you knew when you were going to die, in your real life you do not know when you are going to die. What are you waiting for to achieve all you want in life? Your life could be over tomorrow...Class dismissed!"

How long will you live? Good question...
Now what are you going to do?

Grab life!
