My son Jamie is sick today..actually he has been sick all week. I don't like to see him sick but it is what it is...
What struck me today is how I was pulled between my business family and my home family. It was an interesting situation..
Work was cwazy busy. I just launched Relish Gourmet Burgers this week (www.RelishMe.ca) and there were clients at our place. And I so much love our clients.
The team was busy too..of course..and they are amazing but we were trying to look cool under a panic of running out of food and serving our customers. It was a wild scene..which only business owners can see.
And on top of it all..I had to get my son to take him to the doctor..remember he is sick.
I was torn..what family do I look after..
The answer..of course..look after both. As best as you can. Both are important and deserve your love and attention..and yes discipline.
But that's what entrepreneurs do...good entrepreneurs do...they do..they make it happen and they look after the people that are important to them...both teams!
It's a circus act for sure but the result is wonderful as you now have two families to care for you too!
