Yes...Even the PAtriots Lose

For those that know me well....know I am a HUGE New England Patriots fan. (Claimer for those visiting from another planet..New England is the role model for successful franchises in the National Football League).

The New England Patriots know how to build a winner, act like winner and do it again and again and again over a period of time. A true business of strength and strategy and the results on the bottom line show it.

But with all this love-in with my team they do lose (and yes I am a season ticket holder so the love runs deep). And today is one of those days...they got spanked. And all from a team that should have been spanked. The PAtriots had a terrible day. The entire team did not perform well...they stunk. It was painful watching it!!! It hurt.

But here's what I know. It's only one day at the office. Albeit a bad day but still only one day. The PAtriots will learn from this day. They will study what went wrong. The ENTIRE team will assume responsibility, they will feel the hurt and the ENTIRE team will fix what happened today. It's an attitude of a champion because that's what Champions do. They know they will not win them all. Not that they don;t plan to win, they sure do that. But they know the odds of them winning ALL the time is low.....reeeeaalllllll low.

So...how does your business accept setbacks? Does you team regard it as failure or does you team regard it as something to learn from. Does your team adjust and do something...Something to make yourself better? Something that is all part of being or becoming a CHAMPION! A champion is always striving..

Remember with a business..startup, small, medium or large. Success is a journey, Excellence is a journey...a journey that never ends.

"The man at the top of the mountain didn't fall there!" The PAtriots know this! Do you?

Happy Trails
Rivers
